Over time we’ve seen the rise of many collectible toys: Barbies, Cabbage Patch Kids, Beanie Babies, and many, many more. The question is will Furbys be worth something in the future? Are they valuable now? Of course! As long as there are people interested in them, they will have value and collect-ability. How much are they worth you ask? The golden rule for everything collectible is that they are worth what the buyer is willing to pay for them. Collectors wont just jump in and pay top dollar for your dirty old Furby that’s missing an ear, they have certain conditions that must be met. Lets outline a few things that can make your Furby worth more money in the long run.
1. Keep it in the box! If you are buying a Furby with the intent of reselling it in the future, then leave it in the box and store the box in a safe place! A collector will also take notice if the original packaging is in good shape. The newer it looks, the more potential value it will have.
2. Limited, Special edition Furbys or Furbys of rare color(s) will be worth more than the run of the mill mass produced versions.
3. When you’re ready to sell, look around online and see what others are selling similar Furbys for. Online auction sites are a much better way to go than a traditional public auction because you wont be limited to just a room full of buyers, but instead the whole world. (most of it anyway 🙂 )
4. Collectors like sets. If you have more than one, consider auctioning them as a lot. Set your Reserve price based on your research of similar items.
Many savvy collectors make a living buying and selling collectible items on eBay, while most of us probably aren’t that savvy we can still make a little extra income.
Good Luck!
I wonder how much furby’s the person that has the most furby’s have.
Good question! “Kasara Wolf” has a rather large collection. Is it the largest? Who knows for sure! :o)
I would rather have it work then have it be in box
Me too!
Yeah…
I have 27 furby and in good condition but not in box what or how many are there
I have a Millennium Furby in box. Can you tell me what it is worth?
I have the Graduation Furby in box, unopened and misprinted phrase on top. I saw this one time on internet and wasn’t sure if the one I have was the same. It is and now I can’t find the site I saw it on. Can someone help.
I see many of these on eBay, I’m sure if they are the same as yours. You can search by “Sold” items and see what people have paid for them if you’re curious about its value.
Thanks!
Eric
